Author Biography:

Blake M. Scates was born in Pikeville, KY and has lived in Florida since March of 2000. His southern heritage has molded him into a suave and debonair young man who is passionate about everything he does in life, especially lending a helping hand to others and offering helpful advice to his readers. This is Scates' first book at twenty, and he plans on writing many more books, including those in the genres of self-help, poetry, and fiction. Scates currently attends Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL USA and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, with a minor in English. He maintains a high grade point average and has future plans of applying for a Master's degree program in Organizational Leadership. Still learning to play the game of love himself, Scates realizes that there is much more to life than a serious relationship. He believes in the philosophy of "leaving no stone unturned," meaning that life is full of the unexpected, some good and some bad, but that we all can learn from each path we decide to take. Although single for now, Scates has many plans for his future, including an internship in Washington, D.C. and an aspiring career in government relations and/or corporate communications. With numerous accomplishments to his name, Scates looks forward to a career in freelance writing, living a dream that is now his reality.
