Description

Wherever we live there is always somewhere we call home. We may share it with our family or sometimes with a whole community. This book looks at the homes of children from all around the world. There are photographs from countries in Africa, Asia, South America and Europe. Published in association with Oxfam this series aims to draw parallels between children from many different cultures.

Author Biography

Kate Petty lectured on writing and editing for Middlesex University. She was the commissioning editor for Cornwall's bio-diversity attraction, the Eden Project. She was a well-known and respected writer of non-fiction and educational books, writing for publishers such as Orion, Macmillan and Random House. She was the author of the Around the World series with Oxfam published by Frances Lincoln. Sadly, she died in 2007. Oxfam works in 77 countries and supports nearly 3,000 long-term development projects. Its publishing division helps raise awareness of life and cultures all over the world.
