Don't spend $100 on a game and $22 on a joystick. It ain't worth the $22 dollars even especially with today's rubbish bag prices.

This joystick is barely a joystick. What all manufacturers fail to mention is stick resolution. Old analogue sticks would do 256 discrete positions on an axis. Modern sticks can do thousands of steps. This thing can only achieve 8 steps making it next to impossible to control anything at all. Please don't punish your family/friend with this. Total disappointment guaranteed.

I came here after finding that mine only reports 10 steps in each direction! (forward back left right) I couldn't believe that a ‘modern’ USB joystick would be designed with an unnecessary resolution limitation, but no, apparently it's real. It had a jumpitty pot I had been meaning to replace, but hardly feels worth it now. What a shame, quite well made mechanically.
