I was only expecting a little bit of improvement from my turtle beaches, but these blew me away(almost literally). These are very good speakers, and I could not be more impressed/ satisfied with them.

Got these for $59.99 well worth it. Highly recommend to anyone in need a a decent sound system. Even is set up for gaming on console or watching movies through your TV. perfect! Hope the neighbours don't mind listening to my music too :P

Ok now my review on these speakers won't be as positive as everyone else's due to me comparing these to Creative Gigaworks T3 and Creative Inspire M2600 that I'm currently using for gaming and music. The Genius's are fine for (gaming XBOX 360) put in Halo 4, Battlefeild 3 and COD3 all 3 games sounded good. But when I played music from my S2, MP3 Samsung P2 and my laptops they didn't sound as good as my CREATIVES. I noticed if you turned the bass up over half way it sounded a bit distorted to low and the mids and treble were over powering. This is where Genius weren't so genius and should have added a control for treble. (used HOUSE,ROCK and DUB as test). Also the satellite speakers have no grills so they're vulnerable to dust and damage. Take note that if you are placing the sub on the floor keep it well away from your feet as the grill doesn't protect the whole driver. Purchased the GXSW 2.1 for $60 (fair) 3/5 Purchased the M2600 2.1 for $60 (pretty good) 4/5 Wouldn't pay over $60 for the GXSW's.

This system is amazing. Sounds great, and is super easy to set up.

The only thing I am concerned about though, is that all the cables seem to be very flimsy. Don't think it would take a lot to break one.

For years I"ve been relying on the speakers in my laptop. When I plugged this beauty in it was like I was hearing for the first time.

Initial concerns [read ignorance] that the sub-woofer would sound like a rebellious teen's RX7's sound system were unfounded. Bass isn't overwhelming, can be easily controlled. Sound is crisp, clear and the speakers don't vibrate irritatingly on the desk when the vol. is up.

This thing belts out sounds and FXs in games I've played for years but had never noticed because of poor quality sound system.

This was certainly one of my better investment decisions.

I was very excited about my purchase as these sounded great when I first turned them on. Less than half an hour later though and the left speaker began crackling and hasn't stopped since. Speaker must be faulty as the problem occurs whether plugged into laptop/iPod or unplugged. I know I am the minority but I am severely disappointed with this purchase.

For Gaming they are good, for movies they are ok and for Music they are horrible

Cheap but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Bought it to add some depth to my spare TV speakers (and PS3 system).

Sounds is not ‘rich’ and even playing around with the base settings doesn't clear it up.

I can't think of anything good to redeem the set. Either go cheaper and be happy or spend more and go for a better system. Either way walk straight past this.

The first set I received were faulty and wouldn't even turn on. Mighty Ape were great with the replacement process but one speaker has always had a static sound which has gradually gotten worse, so much so my son can't even use these any more. They were a good price but unfortunately not a great product.

Amazing bass to vibrate ya internals and great sound considering the price a great speaker highly recommended for those looking for a good speaker system without splashing lots of money

After reading reviews on other review sites this isn't an overly un-common thing for these speakers. Faulty out of the box.

Having bought these last year on a budget these little speakers still preform wonderfully and at a acceptable level of quality.The sound is almost always clear with the occasional audible static,the bass is also nice for the size of the sub woofer.I use these with a 42 inch LED-HDTV when gaming with my XBOX-ONE-S and my gaming computer.I have no complaints on this product and recommend this product if you're on a budget like i was.

Price Matched for $87.00 for a total of $90.90 delivered. Fast delivery with no hassle. Speakers are pretty clear though the bass is somewhat over-powering, though adjustments to the dial changes that. Solid gaming speakers though don't expect your music to sound as good. 9/10 would buy again :)

One star knocked off coz no treble controls, but really a terrific sound for the price. I really wanted to knock off half a star instead of the full one. Oh well.

When i first opened the box i thought there was no these speakers would be bassy. I was VERY wrong! These speakers are great however there are a few small issues that may put you off buying them. These speakers are very high pitched at a high volume, the blue LED on the control is super bright and the volume control is extremely touchy, by this i mean if you just put your finger on it, the volume may go way up. These speakers look amazing and are very bassy! I would recommend these if you can get the cheaper than $80!

Ok it looks and feels a bit cheap but it is cheap! I got it for $60… but the sound… wow so much bass! and clear highs too! haven't tried gaming but music is great! going from a fantastic Logitech system to this doesn't feel too much different, Just more bass and one more speaker since the Logitech has a mishap…

Aesthetically pleasing and good sound output for the price.

The main reason I bought this speaker system is you can use it as a stand alone subwoofer, or with the tweeters. And I bought it to compliment my full range speakers which it does nicely :D

I bought these speakers 2 weeks ago and ever since they delivered I have been using them as much as I possibly can. The quality is by far the best that I have ever heard from a set this size. The bass is incredible and will shake stuff of my shelfs. Would buy again

Trust me when I say you have found yourself pretty much the best speaker for a very affordable price. I have literally bought so many speakers over a period of 10 years but none have came close to this. It is absolutely amazing!

Good versatile speakers

Not to bad, good bass but I had Logitec speakers before these and these are no way near as good as those were.

These are excellent speakers for their price. Great for the TV in the bedroom or for the Computer. These are a must have! especially when they are often on sale for around $50!!

Awesome best speakers

I found good for my needs. I play a number of online games and been able to plug the headset in to the control tower instead of trying to reach the back of my case which is near the floor is great.

The ONLY downside is that if you then plug a headset into them you get a much quieter sound, but that's normal from splitting/repeating signals. You can get around this by using a USB headset instead. But on their own, absolutely amazing stuff.

Great sound for movies music or on demand

Great for gaming and listening to music, I do not regret buying one bit.

Not being an audiophile by any stretch, I was just looking for a set of speakers that gave me a better sound out of my TV.

And for the price, these do the job brilliantly. They're easy to set up and sound good. The difference between puny TV speakers and these is immense. Good bass too. There are probably better speakers out there but if you're just looking for some more loudness and a fuller sound, these work perfectly.

I was a little bit hesitant when buying these as they were “gaming speakers” so I wasn't sure how they would sound with music, as no one had really left a review. But upon using them for the first time is was blown away 10/10. They are perfect for gaming, music and movies and the bass is just the bees knees. Thanks a bunch Mighty Ape!

TOTALLY worth full price, had a friend buy this set from his account, great speakers, even though i have a LCD to play on, works great with my setup, great bass, easy setup. i love the fact you can change the bass levels, great for when im home alone.. or when others are sleeping :) only one not so good thing, the power light is really bright and annoying other than that… HIGHLY RECCOMENDED

These are an excellent price at $65 that I bought them for. They have great audio – fairly large sattelites, and to me it has quite a good, wide stereo sound, and very good bass. Lots of connections built into the amp, and separate bass & volume controls. My only gripe, as expressed by other is that when headphones are plugged in, the speakers don't mute, they can still be heard, although it is very quiet, and I don't really notice it under normal use. At the full price, it's a bit pricey, but $65 was well worth it, and I don't regret purchasing this over my normal favourite brand, Logitech

One Word WOW these things are amazing and I got them for $60 best money I ever spent.The bass and the sound are perfect.I regret not buying these badbuys the last time they were on special luckily I got them this time and I'd say there worth there full retail price thanks so much mightyape!

All I could find wrong with these speakers is that if you connect headset through the control box it doesn't mute the speakers, just turns volume down very low. Also the LED on the control box shines too brightly into my eyes and I had to cover it.

These speakers produce good sound quality and have a nice design. I recommend them at $65 most definitely even though I did no other research

Great little speakers

I highly recommend these speakers as they have amazing quality and at the same time can reach high volume and high bass without distorting the music at all! I will continue to use these for as long as possible!

Bottom line is that these are the best 2.1 computer speakers I have ever owned. Amazing bass, perfect for gaming. Doesn't match anything in the $200+ range, but definitely worth the money.
