Author Biography:

Arno Poebel was a student of Friedrich Delitzsch. From 1933 to 1946 he was the project director of the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary at the Oriental Institute, University of Chicago. He authored numerous works, including Babylonian Legal and Business Documents (1909), Historical and Grammatical Texts (1914), Miscellaneous Studies (1947), and The Second Dynasty of Isin according to a New King-List Tablet (1955).
