This book explains how to evaluate a robot as a cyber-physical system and also how to build a robot to function intelligently module by module using bio-inspired approaches. Development of a mathematical model of articulated robot along with artificial intelligence, robot anatomy, kinematics, robot dynamics, trajectory planning, and basic robot control schemes are discussed. The architecture of the robot control system is highlighted along with behavior-based reactive management of biologically inspired robotics controlled by the principle of computational neuroscience.
