Description

The contents of this book were made possible by documents supplied to the author by Frank Jones and articles generously donated by Colin Bradley, originally published by hi m in the " Western Morning News " during 1999. I felt that this story was important enough to be made public to a wider audience before it disappeared into the sands of time. The exploits of this silent service remain an integral part of the overall success of the Allies, and contributed enormously to the final outcome of the European phase of the Second World War. Frank Jones is the brother of my step-mother, Nancy, and still lives in Teignmouth, on the South Coast of Devon at the time of publication.
