Formula One is in a class of its own. Using data from the 1995 season, every detail and statistic is there, with sophisticated artificial intelligence used to recreate drivers' habits and race form. There are 13 teams, 35 drivers and 17 official circuits.
The 3D engine sets new standards, shifting somewhere in the region of 150,000 3D polygons per second - 5,000 per game frame. And the track models are equally impressive: up to 7km long, with between 60,000 and 90,000 polygons and backdrops gorgeously realised in 256 colours. Two modes of play - Grand Prix for sim fans and Arcade mode for racers - mean F1 will challenge those who take Grand Prix seriously and thrill those who want action.
