"An outstanding game engine but with some issues still."
4 stars"

Well this is a long awaited release and seems to have more expectancy from fans than the previous two releases.

FIFA 08 stole many fans away from PES and 09 tweaked the gameplay. Manager mode however was overlooked for more online modes such as be a pro, etc.. .

FIFA 10 is a much improved game engine, the response and mobility of players is outstanding. Players stay on their feet, jostle for the ball and dribbling is much more fluid and easier to do.

Turning defenders and maintaining possession is better, crosses are far more potent and curl in, perhaps a little too much. There is a touch of over doing it with some aspects such as the physicality of bigger players and afore mentioned crosses being wickedly whipped in by all player types. However this is a game that moves like never before.

Manager mode has plenty of room to improve however, EA had promised a focus for this mode and so far the EA forums are littered with errors and bugs. EA are working on updates to correct this we are told. MM mode is a huge draw and if you are a fan wait till the updates are released or you may be dissapointed.

Online aspects such as virtual pro and live season 2 will draw in the online players. These modes use an ever impressive presentation.

Weather is included now as well as quickly taken free kicks and the hugely enjoyable custom set pieces where you design your own set pieces to use online or in any mode.

All in this is the best FIFA so far, it has plenty of fixing and will benefit from a month or two of patching from EA.

A good almost great game just shy of the full 5 stars beacause of the issues with Manager mode.

"Average game"

With FIFA 10 comes some decent gameplay improvements. Passing is now faster which provides quicker action. Gameplay is now more PESesque. FIFA have also introduced the ability to take quick free kicks, a feature that has been used by PES since 2008. When I played the demo for the first time i thought I was playing FIFA 09. The menus, graphics and gameplay look almost exactly the same and it is now harder to score. PES has listened to their fans and made gameplay more realistic. Key improvements like this and the inclusion of a fully liscenced UEFA Champions League and for the first time UEFA Europa League along with outstanding player likenesses and superior graphics will lead me to opt for PES. Real football fans will follow me.

"Great soccer game!"
5 stars"

I tried the demo of this game. I enjoyed every second of it. In my opinion FIFA10 is better than PES 10 (played the demo of that too) . And it's true if I say so myself because I am or was a huge fan of Konami's PES series since it was on PSOne. However FIFA series seems to have overtaken PES when both jumped in the 7th gene consoles. FIFA 10 has nicer animation, control of players and probably the license to use almost every soccer team/league on the planet.

"Another good FIFA title by EA Sports."

FIFA 10 is another good soccer game from the boys at EA Sports. The gameplay is fine, apart from how they've seemed to make it that almost every time you go for the ball you'll get penalised, yet the AI teams seem to be able to do the same thing and get away with it. The crossing system is bad, every player whips crosses in wildly (apparently there's a patch to fix this). Finally, the commentary is somewhat limited and sometimes they'll say the wrong thing (e.g I've come across several moments where the commentators talk about a shot that's just crept in the bar when it has actually gone along the ground!).

These little things don't detract from what is a good game though.

"Awesome."
5 stars"

It was a toss up between Fifa 10 and PES 10. I decided to go with Fifa 10 due to the face that I had previously been a PES kind of guy. I can't tell you how amazed with this game, with its smooth controls, and realistic player habits, e.g. Ronaldo's fake step during his penalty. The players are as real as they have ever been in a soccer game, and the game modes make it possible to play for hours and not get bored. Whether it's managing Chelsea, or even Wellington Phoinex, Fifa 10 will be a game that you won't regret buying.

"Great Football Game"

I have had this game for around a week now. The FIFA franchise over the years has evovled into the top eschalaunt of football sim games. Much like 2009 version, FIFA 10 delivers hours of fun and challenges. I am currently in a season and am really enjoying it. The best thing about this game is the gameplay, this stood out in 09 to. The physical interaction between players is what makes the game great. Havent touched on manager mode but that is up next after I win my season!!! 8/10 for me. A good buy if you own a PS3.
