Firstly i must say like many, Fable was a minor let down, the hype and the claims of ground-breaking gameplay just didn't live up 2 what the game turned out to be. Though honestly that doesn't really matter, cause the game is great fun 2 play. The graphics are impressive plus the game runs smoothly and the gameplay whilst not containing much depth keeps u enthralled. Little things about the game such as the ability to kick a chicken, get married, have sex, enter fist fights or just be downright scary and repulsive is what makes this game more appealing than your standard action rpg. The combat is simple and the various spells are cool but what stopped this game from being close perfect was the story. It was actually quite boring and un-involving, to the point where u didn't really care much for the story or the main characters and only really played the game for the fighting sequences.

As an action RPG Fable definitely has merit, it has great graphics and the sound is awesome. I liked the comments made by villagers as you passed by, and how they would change depending on your alignment.

Unfortunately I found it got boring very quickly, it has a short storyline, and forces you to watch the credits roll in their entirety, if you want to continue playing with the character you have become once you finish the main plot. Though there are many other extra mini quests and games available throughout the, it in no way captures the length and breath of a great RPG. It was more reminicent or the platform games like Jak & Daxter; with an adult theme. Fable offers the player the choice between Good and Evil, but never grasps a truly evil or truly good, storyline. There is no real advantage in being either alignment as one can buy their alignment from the temples, eliminating the an aspect of replay value.

In all I found it a fun game to play, but not the RPG I was expecting.
