Description

Written in a question-and-answer format, this book tells what it's like to visit an acupuncturist and explains the how, what and why of typical diagnostic evaluations and therapies. Dr. Fleischman also answers questions about the care of infections, digestive disorders, heart trouble, childhood diseases, AIDS, cancer and emotional dysfunction, and discusses Chinese medicine beyond acupuncture needling such as herbology, diet and health reform. He also draws analogies between Chinese medicine and Western medicine assembled from the histories of both civilizations.

Author Biography:

Dr. Gary Fleischman is a certified acupuncturist. He is a member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is presently chairman of the Connecticut Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is a recipient of the Excellence in Acupuncture Award for the 1995 edition of Outstanding American Acupuncturists.
