Description

Excerpt from Embryology, Anatomy, and Diseases of the Umbilicus Together With Diseases of the Urachus During the summer of 1904 I saw a case of cancer of the umbilicus with Dr. Jacob L. Winner. Up to that time I had thought that hernia was practically the only lesion to be noted in this locality. The patient did well for a time, but later large intra-abdominal tumors could be felt and finally he died. No autopsy was obtained. Histologic examination of the umbilical growth showed that it was an adenocarcinoma. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
