“A man went looking for America and couldn't find it… anywhere”. That was the by-line of this movie when it came out in 1969, it still applies today. Great performances from a very young Jack Nicholson, with Peter Fonda & Dennis Hopper, show a side of American ‘culture’ most Americans wish hadn't existed then or now. It also shows magnificent scenery and a glimpse into the lifestyle of young people trying to escape their parent's 1950s / 60s World. Apart from anything else… This movie is the birth of the ‘Chopper’… It's worth owning just for that!
