Description

Doncaster thrived during the Georgian period, and continued to grow as a railway town in the nineteenth century. As a consequence, it can boast a rich architectural history, the influence of which can still be seen and appreciated in the fabric of the Doncaster of the modern day. Author Biography:

Geoffrey Howse is an actor, author, and historian. He is an avid author of local history books and has become well-known for his writing and his books on Yorkshire subjects, which include A Century of Sheffield, Images of Sheffield, and The Little Book of Yorkshire.
