Doctor Who returns with a stunning new series, providing extra thrills than the previous four series. Matt Smith performs brilliantly, topping even David Tennant.
The only let down is the companion, Karen Gillan acts well, but her character is silly and boring and her jokes aren't entertaining. Not her fault, but it makes it more of a burden to watch. Overall, a great DVD, with some very good episodes from new head writer Steven Moffat, but maybe wait for a sale.
I have been watching “The Doctor” for years, and this latest series should appeal to people “new” to Doctor Who. The new Tardus is upmarket with all the latest gizmo's and technology. Still has the great blend of lovely young women, adventure, drama, the Daleks, and suspense. This new doctor though, takes on what appears to be a bit of a love interest with one of the characters. Future episodes will be well worth watching.
We've been anxiously awaiting this latest series and it is thrilling to watch – every episode is better than the last!!
If you haven't got into Dr Who since it was reveved I have a question for you. What planet are you on. If you are a newbie to Dr Who there is no better place to start than with a new Dr and companion. With the doctor and Amy Pond they have created one of the great partnerships in Dr Who history. This is an excellent exciting start to a new series, pacy as always with a fair mixture of time travel, humour and Daleks (not to mention fish fingers and custard!). Great three episodes. Go on – you won't regret it!
