This is a brilliant series, a must for anyone who likes low-key, subtle and charming British character comedy. We just love it. The series centres on two metal detectorists (it is their gadgets that are called metal detectors) who live in hope of discovering a treasure under the fields of England. Writer and star Mackenzie Crook (‘The Office’, ‘Pirates of the Carribean’) and Toby Jones (‘Harry Potter’, ‘The Hunger Games’) are simply perfect as the ever optimistic odd couple.
