From the last installment there was alot of work to be done. Now EA is the best developers when it comes to sport games so i was kinda looking forward to this, but yet again they missed a straight delivery and was dismissed for a duck. But don't fret, Ricky Ponting 07 is just as bad. Lets hope EA and Codemasters get things right next time round.

frankly – EA should shut down their cricket franchise. Bowlers/batsmen and umpires look like rugby players. I have invested in them for past 3 versions but not anymore. EA cricket from now on is a big no-no for me.

Bring on Ricky Ponting 2007!!!

Batting is really easy , bowling on the the other hand is the same as 05

Well, I like the new controller system, but its still hard to advance and play a shot. Not a bad game, but some of the commentary and motion capture is the same as earlier versions. Some nice ashes challenges thrown in. The biggest let down though is the statistics and commentary. Cricket is a game of stats. But according to Cric07 Andrew Symonds is a new zealander. (He still plays for Aussie, but showed up with NZ flag beside his name in my games) And many similar things that pop up in the stats that are just wrong. Then the commentary is whacked too. Bonds 2nd wicket (but Bond isnt bowling, that was the previous over) and ponting facing but hes at the bowlers end. Even the onscreen graphics say that too. Overall if you can look past these things its still ok until RP 07 comes along and bowls it for a duck.

nowhere near as good as RPIC 2005 and 2007 will pooh on it.

problem is, yes, the batting IS better.....but, the timing for shots is as simple as timing the shot as the ball leaves the hand (a split second after for spinners) – prefect timing every time.....trying to actually time the ball when it comes down the pitch is totally irrelevant (hence people thinking it is hard to block etc..you aren't doing what the game wants…i.e.e repetitively timing exactly when the ball leaves the pace bowler's hand. Once this is realised…it is strike rates of 300–400 all round. Yippeeeeee.....

Much better than cricket 05 – MUCH better. So if, and there is no accounting for taste, you actually liked that game…you will love this.

I felt cricket 05 was a 1.5 out of 10.

I would give this a 5–6.

Oh…and since owning I haven't bothered to bowl once -yes, they sensibly brought back the ability to simulate their innings as a whole or by wicket.....that got them an extra point.

Yes, it has the ashes.

so what? How could it not?

wait for rpic 2007…just don't make it hard for me to get a copy you little s&*#s!

Its a very good game, when your batting it is hard to block but using the analog controls i think it makes it much more exciting and better to use, bowling is very similar to the last cricket game but i dont think its boring atall like other people think, overall i think it is very good and i reccomend it to anyone

Yes its about time that EA Sports revealed a decent cricket game. This is a quality game the graphics and most gameplay does not look to have changed hugely however with the added “Century Stick” control system and the new Camera features make a quality finished game. At last you can set a range of difficulties when playing oppositions. The Ashes mode is great too. I was a bit disappointed that they couldnt change the batting style and bowling style of the players but all in all it is a good game and way better than the last one they brought out.

It is alot more better than Cricket 05, for a start you can actually score runs in this game – but irt is incredibly hard to block the ball with the anolog stick which means you often get bowled easily. Bowling still a little boring – is pretty much the same as last year again. Fielder's are incredibly accurate and drop practically nothing.

Overall it is a good solid cricket game that rivals RPIC 2005 but still needs improvement.
