Description

Shattered by the most mysterious event of his life, forced to abandon his high-rolling job in The City, with a young wife and baby at home, Matt Grant faces ruin. Then he sees that advert on the back of a London bus. How hard can it be..? Crash The Bus is one man's true story of colliding with his own destiny at the wheel of a London bus - and taking everyone on board with him. A 21st Century pilgrim's progress through London's eternally chaotic cityscape, Crash The Bus is part novel, part scatological comedy, part tragic history, part philosophy, part farce - and wholly unforgettable.

Author Biography:

Born in 1957, James Murphy grew up in the suburbs of South London. He graduated in Philosophy from the University of East Anglia at Norwich. He then worked in several different fields (sometimes literally), including journalism and teaching. During the 80s, he lived in Tuscany, and currently resides in Hampshire, where his house has just burned down, as per Nietzsche's Vesuvian exhortation. He has written a play about Nietzsche, To Hell in a Handcart', two collections of poetry: The Misanthropist's Secret Love Life, and The Art of Exile. He has also written two further plays, The Poets and Disposophobia, as well as a cultural and literary critique, Handbook for the Damned. He is married with a son.
