Description

This is the autobiography of Amy Brissler, who was a costume designer in Hollywood for movie and TV stars from late 1930's to late 1970's. She tells interesting anecdotes and personal insights of many famous Hollywood stars. She began life on a farm in Tennessee, the daughter and granddaughter of well-known traveling show people. Her father fell in love with Amy's mother at first sight (at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville), carried her off and married her within weeks. Amy began sewing at age five. Circumstances led her to Akron, Ohio, where she began sewing for a living. She eventually made her way to Hollywood to follow her dream.
