The debate will never end on which paint company produces the best fine figure model paint, Vallejo is great for airbrushing, Citadel makes really good tools, but, Army painter is the most cost-effective, allowing you to buy the complete range of their paints for under $500. The value is outstanding, with five brushes included in the set and 124 bottles of paint, it works out to around $3.59 each (bought individually these sell at $5.49 as of the time I wrote this review), so on this whole set, you are actually saving around $235 on what all those paints would cost you, bought by themselves. As for quality, I normally use them on Reaper Bones vinyl plastic miniatures, which requires the base coat to go on undiluted with any water, just use it right out of the well shaken up bottle, after the first coat you can water it down and use all the usual painting techniques. With this set, I recommend getting yourself a nice set of paint racks, or just make yourself one with hot glue and cardboard, and I prefer using a wet palette when I paint, as it prevents the paint drying out before you use it all up. Remember, model paints have a very finely ground pigment, you will need to shake the bottles up a lot, but the paint has remarkably good qualities, particularly if you watch a few YouTube tutorials and learn how to use and care for your brushes well.
