City of Ashes reviews

This is a must read for twilight or vampire diaries etc. I have already read it once and am rereading it for a second time

I thought this book was amazing, and it had lots of epic twists and turns. I couldn't put it down, it was just so good.

I only just finished this book a few days ago, but i could hardly put it down once i had started! Excellent read without a doubt. Always a shame when you come to the last page haha, but time to move onto the 3rd novel!!

Better than the first book, more action, more character development but unfortunately, more over describing.

City of Ashes holds more action, more suspense, and even more unexpected surprises! While continuing her fight to find her place in the Shadowhunting world and a cure for her mother, Clary is more confused than ever. She still has feelings for Jace, but the fact that he's her brother makes things that much more harder. Then there's Simon and their relationship, which just moved to a new level. To make matters worse, Valentine is back and has stolen another mortal instrument, the soul sword. Can they stop him in time?

Amazing! I can't seem to get enough of these books. Cassandra Clare's writing is great. I feel like everything there isn't what it seems to be. For example, Clary and Jace's “brother-sister” relationship. Are they really? I can't wait to find out in the next installment.
