Description

By 2808 AD, humanity has achieved faster than light travel, and has explored thousands of light years away from Earth. The Earth Space Force is clearly the dominant military power in the region. For centuries, there had been rumors about an ancient race just beyond the boundaries of known space. In The End of Winter, Commander Curt Jackson of the ESF discovers them, forms an alliance, and after several battles with pirates, they set about the process of re-establishing the ancestral Imperial capital on Valhalla. They discovered and repaired a Swarm ship, idle for 7000 years after and invasion which almost wiped out civilization in the galaxy. Together, they set out on the Grand Survey in the repaired Swarm ship, the first complete circumnavigation of the galaxy. Circle of Fire tells the story of that voyage. TERRY SAVAGE provides independent management consulting services to governments and private industry. He recently concluded an engagement as Program Manager for the State of Utah for an effort to integrate education and employment data, and provide advisement to both students and job seekers about possibilities and options. He was Chief Information Officer for the State of Nevada from 2000-2007. Terry is also a published science fiction author. His first novel, The End of Winter, is published and currently in print. The sequel, Circle of Fire, will be released in early 2012. Through the Darkness, the final book in the trilogy, is scheduled for publication in 2013.
