Chronic Pain Control: Altering Reality (Parts I - IV) teaches patients (chronic pain control students) and practitioners how to reduce or stop chronic pain intrinsically. The Science-Based CB Intrinsic Touch and specific Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Control (MBCPC) techniques work from within. Performed by patients and practitioners alike, these are fast and effective pain management alternatives for controlling chronic pain without the need for outside intervention or painkiller drugs. CB Intrinsic techniques work by tricking the nervous system into unlearning abnormal chronic pain patterns while it returns to normal patterns of appropriate acute pain when necessary, followed by no pain as the condition heals. For some conditions, these techniques also help patients regain muscle and/or gland function as pain subsides. Patients perform these techniques themselves. Best case outcomes once patients learn these skills: 1. Controlling chronic pain to the point of stopping it; 2. Re-establishing normal pain patterns; 3. Varying degrees of improved muscle and/or gland function, depending on the illness or condition; 4. Enhanced sense of well-being and improved health for mind/body/spirit as pain and stress levels go down.
