Kyle Mewburn lives with his wife in Millers Flat, Central Otago and has written a number of picture books for Scholastic including the award-winning Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck!, and the 2010 NZ Post Children's Book of the Year, Old Hu-Hu. His latest picture book with Ali Teo & John O'Reilly, Melu, won Children's Choice at the 2013 NZ Post Children's Book Awards. Kyle's zany sense of humour is also used to good effect in his junior fiction series, Dinosaur Rescue. Ali Teo and John O'Reilly work closely together in the illustration and design of their picture books, with fantastic results, as evidenced in the award-winning Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck! and 2013 White Ravens selection and NZ Post Children's Book Awards finalist Melu. The pair lives in Tauranga with their young son Tiger.
