Catan: Traders & Barbarians Expansion reviews

As always, the Catan parts are great quality and able to stand up to a fair amount of damage. There are a few new scenarios that are going to add hours of different game play to the standard game, and is able to merge with the other expansions that I already have with ease.

Traders and barbarians is a fantastic addition to the Settlers of catan board game. at a glance, it looks complex, but each individual scenario eases you into the host of new optional rules for your games which make for new strategies, and different Gameplay without loosing the true essence of the original game. fantastic

Adds other layers of complexity and fun to the original Catan game.

Bought this for our kids, as we have two versions of the original game (one with the ocean border pieces and one with individual ocean tiles). Unfortunately the border pieces used for several of the expansions are not compatible with either of our original versions (10th Anniversary Edition that is in German and the older version with individual ocean tiles rather than border pieces). This means we cannot use this expansion and may have to buy a third version of the original game to use it. (Mighty Ape were fantastic – their service was stellar as always, this is solely a product review).
