I sort of bought this for the kids, but I knew I'd like it too. If you like the Mario Galaxy series you'll love this, with inventive little puzzles to solve and no “argh I'm going to die in a panic!” moments it's a fun way to unwind.

I played quite a lot of this but i did get slightly bored but got back into it again it and finished right through except the finale (you will know when you get there ^_-) Fun little game, thought the game was short to begin with but there are quite a bit more levels than first thought which was good.
If you've played Super Mario 3D World (SM3DW), then you should be familiar with the gameplay of Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.
Guide Captain Toad (or Toadette) through more than 65 self-contained mini worlds to find stars and gems. The catch is you can't jump of those pesky Goombas or Piranha Creepers to get rid of them.
There are a lot of ‘aha!’ moments when you finally crack the level or find that elusive super gem. Although there is no couch co-op mode, the person who wasn't playing found themselves highly engaged in the game anyway.
My only gripe is that it takes two menu interactions more than necessary to restart a level if you mess it up.
If you have a save file for SM3DW, or have the Toad Amiibo, you get to unlock bonus levels, goals or extra lives.
Overall: Fun and adorable puzzle game playable in bite-sized chunks with a high replay value and choice music. Another worthy addition to your game library.
Fun game! disappointing its only 1 player, but as the levels are so short (but theres still over 70 of them) its great to just let one person do one level then pass it over – also works purely on the tablet so you can play without using the TV
