Description

"CJ Martin writes with energy, confidence and precision in capturing the subtle interplay between individual and surroundings. She is fully committed to her craft and to advancing the role of poetry in our society -- for both these things, she is to be commended." -- Harold Heft, poet and author of "The Shape of This Dying: Remembering Alexander Bercovitch".

Author Biography:

C J Martin is a poet, writer, visual artist, community organiser and the owner of CJ's Cafe in Bronte, a venue with a priority on showcasing local artists of all disciplines. She was one of the original organisers for the Poetry Cafe project in Oakville, Ontario, which brings published poets to Oakville audiences. She is on the Board of the Oakville Arts Council. She is a thoroughly unapologetic lover of all forms of poetry, including those old traditional forms that are currently out of vogue.
