BioShock Infinite reviews

As a newbie to the BioShock series and not that much of an FPS gamer, I was blown away by BioShock Infinite. I've finished it and still can't get enough. Such an epic game overall, gorgeous visuals, likeable characters and an intricate yet compelling story – just wait 'til you get to the end. Definitely worth getting IMO. :)

If you played the first two you're going to love it. If you're new to the series you'll love it also! Buy this game 10 out of 10

This game…WOW. Twelve hours of high-octane action, superb atmosphere, astounding story, fantastic characters and sound, beautiful visuals. This will win GOTY awards no doubt about it, one of the most complete gaming experiences I have ever had the the pleasure of playing, and I have played many, many great games.

I got this game not expecting too much and I was blown away with how amazing it was. Really decent graphics and a good npc system kept me from getting annoyed, it had an awesome storyline and a gripping ending. Hands down best game I have played this year so far!

Unlike the previous Bioshock games, it is a polar opposite as the environment has moved from the Ocean to Skies. Do not think this is a prequel/squeal to the previous Bioshocks. You learn as to why the games title is called Bioshock, even being different from its predisesors in the ending to Bioshock Infinite.

The main player is no longer the silent type, being guided by the phrase “Would you kindly”, Booker has a voice, and that voice does a wonderful job, especially with the interactions with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth's AI is well done, as you will find she will move about on her own at times to view details on posters, show where to find a few items of interest, and comment on a few things as well. One of my favorite scenes with Elizabeth is when you pick up a Guitar in Shantytown and she sings along with you, this particular scene is missable.

The sound and music for the game is top notch. Even though the game is set in 1912 in the beginning of the game is a Barbershop Quartet singing a famous Beach Boys song. This particular event I missed and only found out at a later point.

The game itself does have some racial discrimination as well, but it in itself would not effect people in a negative way.

There are many great detailed features in this game, that can easily be missed if you do not take your time at viewing the environment. Which shows you the amount of work the makers did to bring to you the public the awesomeness that is Bioshock Infinite.

That being said, even though there are some player decision choices in the game, they do not effect the ending at all. Even so the one ending Bioshock Infinite has, is extremely good, though also sad.

This was an awesome game, I'm not going so far as to say that it's “amazing” or the best game I've played it however long, but it was really good. Wonderful graphics, although they were inconsistent & mucky in places, beautiful story and gorgeous setting.

Infinite was definitely my favorite game of the series, if you like the first two you should really give this a go. Even though it does differ a smidge from the first two, it is a great game and definitely worth your time.

Definitely the best game I have played in my life!

I love the Bioshock series- the setting is unique and the game is really fun. The little cutscenes are awesome.

I don't usually care for fps games, but heard this one was special, so I decided to try it out.

I was not disappointed.

Regardless of what genre you're into, please give this a chance.

Good game

I'm not usually a fan of first-person shooter games, but this had such good ratings that I decided to give it a go, and I have no regrets. This is a fantastic game, with a solid and enjoyable storyline and great characterisation. Very much an adult game, not suitable for the kids, with strong graphic violence and adult themes. A highly recommended game, most definitely worth giving it a go.

I just looove Bioshock, what else can I say!- The ending is a mindblower but once you work it out, it all makes sense. Awesome game, good gameplay hours, great price from Mightyape.

Whilst I have just started playing Bioshock Infinite, it has already made a positive impression. Graphically, it is excellent and the gameplay is similar to the other games in the series. Excellent storyline and it looks like there are many hours still to be spent playing this game! I bought my copy during one of the specials on Mighty Ape so it was also good value for money! Get a copy if you don't already have it. :-)

A good game overall but lacks anything that truely sets it apart from other first person shooter games, the storyline is quite good and will appeal to most players but the mechamics of the game feel very much akin to the likes of Call of Duty. Does hold some suprises though such as – a grappling hook, magical abilities and a companion, Elizabeth.

The combat system may not be something new, but truly, it's one of the best game ever released in this era. This game is worth buying and keeping. The best thing about this game is the story. It's just mind-blowing and really makes you think of what's happening. I definitely recommend this game.

Totally worth your time and money!!

this bioshock is brilliant. unlike the first two this episode is high in the sky in a floating city which adds an imazing arial platform where you can both attack and be attacked from. ammunition is plentiful however you cannot hold much at one time which forces you out into head to head combat in order to scavange while you fight.

this game has very good play time easily covering 8+hrs if you explore every thing, and the story is immersive and just when you think you have a grasp on it it changes again. the game feels like its culmminating several times only to continue shifting and getting better and more immersive.

deserves all the praise its getting.

I’m a huge fan of the Bioshock Franchise, and was a little put off by the departure from Rapture and the Big Daddy/ Little Sister dynamic. This is very much a bioshock game! The characters are awesome, the environment is spectacular and the story is complex and evolving enough to rival most box office releases.

I was blown away from start to finish and the final moments of the game seriously left me breathless. Definitely one of the best PS3 games to date.
