"Best Game Ever"
5 stars"

The game is packaged nicely and looks very smexy if i may say. Upon opening the package you will find an awesomely printed disc and that Sir is what you are going to be doing for the next 6 hours. Installation is simple nothing to worry about. The game itself is very much like the beta so really easy to get the grasp of the game, graphics has been tweaked however some small bugs still exist. Overall you won't be disappointed however you won't find the same amount of humor and excessive voice spamming by your AI friends. You will not be disappointed. 10/10

"Awesome realism"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Been playing this since release – very high quality shooter. Almost everything is destructible, which adds a great sense of ‘oh #$%&, where's my next piece of cover?’ Gravity also affects bullets, which adds a new dimension of skill to long-range shots.

Multiplayer is a blast, I've found it easy to find decent servers with good ping (for NZers). Search ‘GameArena’ in Server Browser if you're struggling to find any.

"It grows on you"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

First play: I decided to start with the single player campaign so to be able to master some of the finer aspects of BFBC2 before going multiplayer. After playing the game for 5minutes I was a little disappointed. As a Battlefield 2 demo and Crysis player, I was use to being able to go prone and change the firing mode of my weapons (full/auto, burst and/or semi). The beginning guns were horribly inaccurate and had a tendency to ‘spam’. I soon realised that picking up the same assault rifle but with a different scope changed the firing mode of the gun, minimised the spam effect and decreased the rate of fire. Coming from Crysis, I was thinking “WTH, this is so unrealistic!” This had a big effect on my rating towards the game as I tend to try to be a tactical player and make every bullet count.

Single player: After playing for a hour, I soon got over my ‘first play’ moments. I was greatly impressed by the relatively short loading times, crisp graphics, immersive audio (this is adds massively to the game play), clean control system and, of course, the destructible landscape and buildings. The battles feel what one might imagine them to be like with tracers flying everywhere, soldiers yelling at each other, bullets falling at correct trajectories and bits of buildings being torn to shreds in front of your face. The story line is rather generic of following a squad of men (including you) around the world on a mission to save the US of A in spite of impossible odds and having to shoot your way through hundreds of ‘bad guys’. It is a storyline that never gets too old :D. Your actual squad talks to each other when your trying to find the M-COM stations (bonus things to blow up on each level) about allsorts of random things. Single player overall is good but struggles to come on par with other games its class such as Modern Warfare 2. It feels more like a tweaked hybrid of Crysis and Battlefield 2 than an original game.

Multiplayer (Internet only): Starting the game with a new character has been possibly the most frustrating part of the game. The classes all have crap starting guns, there's no med pack or defribulator for the medic and you are forced to use recon, engineer or a vehicle to score any kills. I was constantly mown down when I went into close combat which annoyed me greatly. If you have enough patience to stick to a class, level up and burn away time to become more competitive and get the better guns then you will be fine. The game gets much better once you have levelled up and have a gun that actually does as you want it to. If you don't have patience, then don't buy BFBC2! The servers are all low ping and playing NZ players is like playing at a LAN. There is very little lag (if any). Players of BFBC2 seem to be ok as a community. There are not many players who I'd kick if was an admin. The greatest problem is unfair teams but this can't be helped much.

Overall rating: 4/5 stars. Recommend to buy: heck yeah!

"Excellent in every way expected"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Bought this game as my mate bought it from MightyApe and raved on and on about it. Since it was so CHEAP ! I bought it.

My PC Performance: I was expecting to have to play it on lower settings/detail as I dont have the best computer yet (see my specs at bottom). But that wasn't the case. It plays very well on Medium-High settings on a resolution of 1280X768 (wide screen). I could put graphic detail to high etc if I played on a low resolution such as 1024X768.

The Game(files etc): The game is very well designed, e.g; it has its own updater system which checks for updates BEFORE you play the game… Not after and NOT DURING (which would slow performance down) this feature saves you time and internet bandwidth as you dont risk downloading the wrong updates etc. VERY CLEAN AND EASY TO MANAGE UPDATING.

Gameplay: Gameplay is fast and intense. Not too intense you just shake the mouse while shooting your gun on full-auto and die, but enough to keep you busy watching out for enemies. There are some nice graphical features… Blood splatter, dust, fire, building crumble etc, Weapon detail and design and heaps more. Weapons are scaled nicely, weapon characteristics are quite good, consisting of allowing bullet drop and recoil management which I find a good step in realistic shooting. ONLINE play is very good also, as long as the server PING is below 100ms.

I could say more but I want to go play it again now :)

P.s Good job Mighty Ape, loved how it got here early in next morning after payment.

MY PC SPECS:

"Top Quality"
5 stars"

OK, lets get straight to the point, after I received my copy and installing (which takes a little while including downloadable content) I logged straight in to multiplayer. The maps are huge, the amount of dedicated servers is great, the sound is fantastic 10/10, the graphics are great. Make no mistake this is very different to MW2, less run and gun and you have to think a bit more. Obviously still a few glitches and the kill cams are annoying but really it's extremely well done. Thirty-two player games are awesome. The destructable environment is great and frustrating in equal measure because you think you're safe but really you're one RPG or tank shell away from viewing the kill cam. Maybe it's just me but levelling up your skills and weapons seemed to take a bit longer than MW2, not that I have a problem with that. So glad I bought this game. BC2 FTW!!

"Awesome buy!!!!"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

Just got the game and went straight into multi player. The graphics and realistic game play are unlike any other fps out there. The way the trees fall under your tank and the walls caving in after being hit with your RPG; the list goes on! the sound effects are stunning, feels like you are really in a battlefield! I highly recommend this to any fps fan out there :)

"BETTER THAN MODERN WARFARE 2"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is said to challenge Modern warfare 2, in my opinion Battlefield Bad company 2 is a superior game compared to Modern warfare 2 in every way, I mean the graphics are much better and the game play is just awesome in every way, so if your going to to buy a shooter, buy Bad company 2!

Excellent game to play alone, aww, or online with your mates. Only problem was I had to change internet providers as my one didn't have a fast enough upload speed for playing, all sorted now and really enjoying gaming online again.

"Great But high specs"
5 stars"

You need to have a great PC to run this game but if you do you will love this game. Great graphics and the ability to destroy whole buildings is what make this game fun. A good buy if you have a good PC.

"Needs Lots of Computing Grunt to Run!!" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Even though we have a brand new Toshiba laptop it still wouldn't run this game, even on very low resolution graphics. So, buyers beware – highly unlikely it'll run properly on anything but a specialist gaming computer. Unfortunately we now have to sell this game and probably look at a 2nd hand X-Box, which is cheaper than a gaming PC! Can't comment on the game itself 'cos was never able to play it properly!!

"Best Battlefield ever"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Bad Company 2 has a great campaign, and the best multiplayer unlike the “beta” battlefield 4. Also since the massive Steam Sale for BC2 and BC2 Veitnam, servers are once again populated not with just pros but with new players as well, so it's like a new game!

"Love this game to bits"

Had it on 360 now on PC best Battlefield game I've played including everything since, the more colorful pallet means a more enjoyable and relaxing game than BF3 or BF4 and with more fun and usable destruction physics :D

"A win for the battlefield"

This is an excellent game that gives a fairly accurate representation of warfare where no cover lasts forever. The bullet trajectory is well simulated and tactics are always in need of adjustment as no two playings of a scenario is the same.

"Woohooo....addictive"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is a great FPS, I should have got it sooner. I did play BF2 but never loaded it back on after a reformat.

Single player is entertaining and to me seemed longer than COD and MOH. The only niggle is that after finding all the comm stations you are rewarded with zilch, nothing…mmmm why bother. It did make the game last longer while you searched for them.

Multiplayer is a blast, big maps, lotsa people. When you are first starting you are outgunned by higher ranks with better weapons and upgrades. But as you progress different add-ons and equipment become available. You can get some additional weapons if you log onto EA and have two or more EA BF games.(Plus veteran status).

So to round up the singleplayer is long enough and interesting so that you can come to grips with the gameplay before you hit the multiplayer servers......then you are history for a few hours or more as you battle away at the enemy and try and progress through the ranks.

I am hooked thanks to Mightyape and there great prices :-)

This was a great game with excellent graphics but I think that it is too short.

"Brutal, gritty warfare at its most beautiful."
5 stars"

Just bought this game off steam and waiting for it to install. I have played this game at a friends place and it is an absolute stunner, a game that lives up and over the reputation set by battlefield 2. Although I am starting to think they took the humour side a bit to far with the cabbage squad impression, it just doesnt feel realistic in this aspect. I think the destructible environments just creams the crop on a thrill ride of a game that beats the Call of Duty series hands down. Although I am starting to think they took the humour side a bit to far with the cabbage squad impression, it just doesnt feel realistic in this aspect. Overall I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for an engaging, naturally flowing first person shooter.

"Big BF Fan"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I was really excited about Bad Company when it fist came out because it was the first time BF would have a single player and the destructive environments. I was really disappointed when it didn't come out on PC right away. When I saw Bad Company 2 on PC I thought I had better try it. The Single player was really fun. Not to short and I found it challenging. The destructive environment is pretty cool and causes you to think about where you take cover. There was an unfortunate feeling of setting off AI spawns. Walk, check areas and then set off the AI once in the middle. It became annoying after dieing in places knowing where you would need to stand to spawn the Ai then run back to cover.. The Bloom is a little excessive and becomes less realistic and just hard to see at times. The most disappointing thing for me was the fact that they have changed the Magazine to constant refill and got rid of the need to conserve ammo and not reload every burst fired like the older Battlefields. A good game. But with its problems.

After upgrading my PC to specs that could play this game properly, upon it's arrival from Mighty Ape, I quickly installed and started playing, and haven't put it down since.

Fast paced action, exciting multi-player and epic campaign, what more could you ask for in a game?

"Battel feild bad company 2" Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is an amazing game great graphics and most of all very fun I would recomend this game to everyone And great price mightyape

"Great multi-player content, decent single-player campaign"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Bad Company 2 is an interesting step forward for the Battlefield series, giving players the ability to destroy a great deal of the environment around them very realistically (against any other game I've played to date) while being able to decimate their enemies with a variety of weapons and gadgets.

The Single player campaign; though challenging, is very hard to follow plot wise and can be extremely frustrating to even the most advanced players. In saying that however, I found the Enemy and Friendly AI to very responsive and reactive to my tactical decisions during combat, adjusting their own tactics to suite (which was a welcome change from quite a few shooters i've played recently). In short; Single-Player is a welcome distraction from life, until you die again and again… And again.

Multi-player is anything but disappointing however, offering the player the opportunity to play in a series of engaging combat based missions across a variety of maps. These missions include squad based deathmatch, rush and conquest; each of which are very different in style though similar enough to switch between with ease. This game is a definite must for any gamer who enjoys solid multiplayer action online and causing massive amounts of carnage

"Most realistic war game ever!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is a must have game! The gameplay never gets old and is very realistic. I would recommend this game too anyone interested in FPS games.

"No expectations. SMASHED THEM"
5 stars"

Amazing game. Online is fantastic and gorgeous graphics. The add on via PSN Store is great and you get the 1943 game also.

The singleplayer is a bit slow and there are a lot of cut scenes but its still woth a shoot. Multiplayer online is where this game shines

"Better than MW2 !"
5 stars"

battlefield bad company 2 is the most realistic first person shooter in my opinion. The single player gets a tad repetitive and enemies turn into exploding jam jars while you use the shotgun. Its awesome during a mission when a tank casually rolls up :D plenty of fun online , although gravity is hard to master (always missing headshots) better than MW2 – 5 stars

"Blowing things up has NEVER been so good, Awesome!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I try to keep up with new release FPS'rs, they are my favourite type of game and I must say this has to be the BEST one I have ever played. Everything about it is first class, don't hesitate, go and buy a copy today.

"Multiplayer is a blast"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

While the single player campaign leaves a lot to be desired (especially with a very weak plot line), treat it as a training ground for the real game – The Graphics are great, not outstanding, but great non-the-less. With real physics environment, destroyable buildings, vegetation and vehicles, along with holes in the ground, this game takes on the appearance of how I would imagine a real battle would unfold. Complete Carnage and chaos. Mulitplayer is an ablsolute blast and with the latest patches the online setup is so much better than the intial release. I don't think I have ever had as much fun in multiplayer as I have had with this game. Now all we need are some more free maps and I will be in heaven!

"Fairly Good Play"
3 stars"

This is the next installment and battle of the Battlefield: Bad Company collection. After owning the first one I knew from there it was going to be an EXCELLENT game. The second one came out and to be honest i was a little disappointed. I found (thinking about both amateur and experienced gamers), that BBC2 was not as challenging and great as it could be. The graphics are pretty damn top notch but the game play of it was just boring! There was not enough people to kill and just not enough to do in general. This is a fairly good game and 50/50 you should buy and play. But if you are a gamer who wants real thrills and chills do not buy this. 3/5 stars.

"Best online war game ever"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Before even reading this you should have already brought the game! It is amazing, and without a doubt kicks the s@#t out of MW2 (which I also own and play) and not just because it has dedicated servers. The game play is epic, everything is so well done, graphics and sound 10/10. The destructiveness of explosions is insane, being able to blow a wall off a house with an rpg is a great edition to a war game. So if your tossing up whether to buy it or not I would recommend you do!

"Getting there"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Its a really good multi-player shooter, its really fun leveling up and unlocking new weapons. it has a few drawbacks, its too dusty on some maps, sometimes its so dusty or snowy you cant see two feet in front of you. it has a few bugs at the moment but the good guys at dice are working on them, so stick with it its a great game and you don't want to miss out

"Awesome and solid FPS multiplayer game"
5 stars"

Very solid game with only a few bugs. Graphics are awesome and realistic and maps are huge but not too massive. With 32 players max, there's plenty for you to do. Weapons are realistic too where bullets can be affected by gravity. You get to pick between the usual assault rifles (M16, AUG, even the prototype XM8 which looks awesome btw), sniper rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, C4's and the lovable anti-tank mines.

You get to drive (or be a secondary gunner should you choose to be) a variety of vehicles such quad bikes, tanks, helicopters, boats, and even use stationary guns to lay waste to infantry and vehicles alike. Environments are destructible where you can collapse entire buildings and kill enemies within.

This is a very team-centric game where the actions of your team or squad mates will determine whether you win or lose a game. You could be a rambo but if noone bothered to complete the objectives then your team would lose. You'd get points for supplying med packs and reviving team mates (if you're a medic), for repairing vehicles (if you're an engineer), for supplying ammo boxes (if you're an assault), for helping detect enemies using your movement sensor (if you're a recon) and for doing other bits and pieces that help your team as a whole.

Play on ON3 servers, they're the NZ servers (good pings). On the Server Browser page, type in ON3 (case-sensitive) and click on Search. Or you could play in the Aussie servers, there are plenty of them around (good pings too).
