"The Best Multiplayer FPS"
5 stars"

This game is addictive if you play it online.

It is the best online FPS by an absolute mile.

My only complaint is that it takes ages and ages to load – even on RAID hdds with dual core CPUs it will take 30 seconds or more to load a map.

The wait is worth it though.....

"What can I say - its Battlefield"

Another great game in the series, and it brings in a whole new level of co-op teamplay. Single player gaming is alright, but if you have some mates online, then the game is so much better.

Squad play is a lot better, with the Squad commander giving orders to his squad. There is an overall commander giving out orders as well (you can apply to be the commander at the beginning of the map, and vote to kick him if you don't like him), and the commander can also call in Artillery strikes, place radar beacons (UAV), and supply drops. If you want to harm your enemy though you can destroy the artillery batteries, or radar stations though to stop them using this.

Awards is a good thing as well – if you are good online, then you earn awards and ranks, which unlock special weapons that you can use in single player and online.

My only complaint is that the menu's are slow to load (though this could be if you have a medium-spec PC). Minimum specs are pretty high – 128Mb graphics, 1.7Ghz Processor, 512Mb ram. You need a GeForce FX5700 or above (though I am running on a FX5200 128), or an ATI Radeon 8500. Uses more specs than any other game I have seen yet – even HL2 could run on a 1.2GHz processor, and half the RAM. But if you pass the specs with flying colours, then your reward is some of the smoothest graphics ever.

Brilliant game overall – deserves the ratings it receives.

"Battlefield 2 Rocks!"
5 stars"

What could be more enjoyable than spending an entire afternoon fragging baddies with your friends using the latest equipment in military warfare? The latest installment of Battlefield doesn’t disappoint. The game controls are easy to use, intuitive and would be expected from a FPS game. Being able to drive various vehicles, tanks, fighter plans, attack helicopters adds to the fun; not forgetting that you could give your buddies a ride in your Blackhawk and circle the baddies while they have a go at ‘em with the M60s on the side. The game’s graphics are pretty high end and beautifully rendered. The maps are not too large, yet not claustrophobic.

Online game play is key. The single player modes are just to orientate yourself to the controls of the game. After you are familiar, it’s time to launch an attack on your enemy’s flags. A tip for those who are new to the game – don’t choose servers with very high ‘pings’. Before you know it, you could get killed really fast because the baddies can shoot you faster than you can.

One thing that I don’t really like is that sometimes the game auto-switches you from one team to another, creating some personality issues. Imagine being USMC and then suddenly, you are the Iraqi army during the course of the game. I guess the software does it for very good technical reasons such as load balancing. But, the overall experience could be traumatic. Also, the game kicks you out intermittently, so we hope they fix it with a patch real soon.

But overall, the game rocks and it’s really worth late nights and tired eyes for. My favorite profile? The Anti-tank-buster. You can stay on the hill top and fire tanks and enemies away.

Battlefield 2 should be played by everyone who loves a good FPS.

I myself have played the demo, and boy is it good. Although the graphics weren't to amazing the 64/64 player servers make up for it. Weapons to APC/Aircraft are equally balanced for a good game experience. Another thing I liked was the new class system, and the all new Squad/Commander areas of the game. If you have spare cash on you I suggest pre-ordering this game as it is WELL worth it, it'll provide you with endless hours of fun. (The demo still has me caught in awe)

Be wary Geforce 4 owners – EA has stated that this card is NOT supported ie it will not run BF2 (this is for the Ti and MX versions of the card). A shame really but i guess this game is just too much for old cards like mine to handle – looks like peeps like me will have to start thinking about upgrading.

The game however looks amazing having seen a few trailers – guess ill have to use my brothers pc if i want to play it ;-( annoying ;P

Battlefield 2 is an aswome game, you really get into the feel of the it. I have only played the demo but the more i play it the more i enjoy it. The VOIP feature is aswome and makes the game so much better.

Only problem I had was that some of the sound effects could of been done a bit better, and the amount of bullets you can put into someone is crazy

"Demo rocks!"
5 stars"

If your computer doesn't look like it'll handle based on the specs, you'll definately want to try the demo first. I did and it has sold me on this game!

If you're a rambo player, you are going to get wasted so try to play as a team and you'll see how this game was meant to be played.

Can't wait for the full game – sick of the one demo map :)
