Author Biography:

Writer and photographer Bruce Thomson was raised in New South Wales but has spent most of his adult life in the Northern Territory and Queensland where he has worked in the areas of conservation, wildlife research and environmental planning. Currently working with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Bruce provides specialist environmental planning services for that State's national parks. Bruce is the author of books on subjects as diverse as eucalypts and bats, as well as numerous scientific and technical papers. He has had a keen interest in wildlife photography for 25 years and his photographs have appeared in numerous Australian and international publications.
