P. 1854, in 60 - 67, provided a machinery by means Aet'1854' of which a judgment creditor might ascertain what debts were due to his judgment debtors from third parties, and then proceed to attach them, and so ultimately Obtain payment of them. The practice was further developed by 151162531560. Common Law Procedure Act, 1860, 29 and 30; and by these provisions the practice was regulated at Common Law till the passing of the Judicature Act.
