We have also our duty within our own pale, to be what God would have us be, to minister as God would have us minister. I propose to speak to-day about the first subject, and later about the others. The War has made, makes, and will make a huge demand, moral, physical, and economical, on the powers of the nation. This is plain to all; and, for most men, it means in some sense an appeal to the nation's Spiritual force. But the Church exists to be a focus of that force of which it finds the central Spring in Jesus Christ, Redeemer of that World which is His own, and in the Spirit Who is His Gift to us from the Father.
