Description

At the age of thirteen, Mirra Alfassa dreamed every night she soared above Paris, with her robe extending over the city, giving comfort to all those who came out of their homes seeking her help. Ten years later, we find her painting in the circle of the great French Impressionists. In her forty-second year, she settled permanently near Sri Aurobindo in India and became the Mother, the realizer of his visions. As with a magic wand, the Mother infused everything she touched with beauty, harmony and functionality. She started a leading center of education and inspired teachers and students alike to discover and develop their divine potential. At the age of ninety, she launched the international city of Auroville. These are but a few glimpses of the remarkable personality referred to as the Mother. May her message of Peace, Unity, Hope and Joy find its place in the Arabic Consciousness.
