These skills gave her an advantage when she went on to take an Art Foundation Course, where she won an award for the most promising art student of her year. Specialising professionally in graphic design and then book design, Luise continued to work with textiles in her spare time, exhibiting as an embroiderer, before turning her attention back to knitting and crochet. Luise has written several books and contributed to books and magazines with the aim of making techniques more accessible and showing that the time spent on a project can be as rewarding was the final product. This is her first book for GMC.
