"ONE THE BEST HORROR GAMES FOR THE PS3"
5 stars"

Its one of the best horror games on the PS3. You start of not knowing anything that has happen for the past. You r in this building the is burning and falling apart. And the zombies in the game are great they come out of nowhere and you have to burn them to kill them. When you come back to the game it show you what has happened like a TV series. I recommend this game to anyone that loves horror games. It is easy to pick up and play. 5 out of 5 from me.

"Decent horror/survival game "
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game has a great atmosphere about it. Everywhere you go, it feels spooky and creepy. Unlike other games where you are surrounded by enemies at almost all times, this game you aren't. So you can be all alone in the middle of the park with that erriry music in the background. This game really knows how to build the suspense.

As far as gameplay goes though, its not that different from other games. You run around, pick things up, shoot bad guys, solve puzzles (more on that in a minute), and try and stay alive. Main issue I found was the camera angles were a bit iffy. Moving from third person to static views was annoying. Fortunately you can always switch to first person, which was fine. There is a big point of how you have to put together things you find on the ground into weapons, the novelty however wears off soon enough. In the end you'll just be throwing bottles of flammable liquid at everyone and shooting everyone else.

Now perhaps the best/worst part of the game. The puzzles, they are bloody everywhere. I mean sure you can have a few here and there, but this game goes crazy with them. Most aren't that difficult but the rate at which they hit you with them can get annoying.

Overall its an OK game, its a little short, and whilst you might feel like you've done this all before, its still a good little time waster. Oh and spooky too. ^_^

"Interestingly Unique Game !"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Alone in the dark Inferno gives you refreshingly unique gaming experience. It is a survival horror with a twist. For the price on the mighty ape this is deal you do not want to miss out on. It is a steal :)

Good story, interactive game play, real life physics & virtually unlimited weapon choices (not only guns), amazingly real looking fire ( which used wisely, kills most of the monsters instantly if not all ). This is definitely not for everyone, and its a intense action adventure, but its not a shooter. but if you are like me who enjoys best games in various genre then this game is a treat.
I would give this game overall rating of 8.5 !!!

"Worth a try"

There's no hiding the fact that Eden Games' Alone in the Dark, which hit several consoles earlier this year, was not terribly well-received. My colleague, Ryan Geddes, had some serious qualms with the 360 version of the game, including its poor controls, unintuitive combat mechanics and a less-than-ideal story. His review was not the only one that reacted in this manner, and the folks at Eden took the criticisms very seriously when they continued their work on the PS3 version. Now that Alone in the Dark: Inferno is available at retail, some gamers might be curious as to how the latest version turned out. I can say with complete confidence that Inferno is a tremendous improvement over its predecessors in terms of gameplay and structure, though it still bears some of the same problems that plagued the other versions. But at the very least, what was once an awful game riddled with issues is now a reasonably entertaining effort that better highlights some of the great ideas that Eden attempted to implement into the project.
