Great film, a interesting storyline with superb CGI. Left hanging (literally) at the end. (Sequel)-
This is just a straight up great movie. If you like Sci-Fi, you should give this a watch.
A solid movie, beautifully shot and cool, tasty FX. One area BluRay scores over streaming is you get all the extras. Not a whole lot on this disc but what's there provides all the back story and some behind the scenes stuff.
Think real steel meets rollerball and you heading in the right direction but there is so much more to this little gem. At 121 minutes the action is relentless making time fly but it has just enough character interaction to balance it nicely. There is tragedy without being morose and comedy without becoming silly. It is very story driven and it sets up well for a sequel. The CG is flawless (Weta workshop) and the world created is big and bold. If you are into futuristic scifi this is a must see. If you aren't, this is still a touching story of survival, loss and redemption. Either way you won't be disappointed. I would highly recommend 3d for this if you can get it. Best entertainment I've seen in a long time.
