D. 1676-1686) Of Christopher Jeaffreson, of Dullingham House, Cambridgeshire Ensign Thorn. - In the enclosed long letter Of the sixteenth instant, I have made no mention Of the silver-hilted sword, de signed for Mr. John Matthews, according to whose order I have sent one SO like mine owns, that I feare he will thinks it the same. But I can assure you otherwise. For I keepe my owns swords and handle for my owne weare, so soon as I come out of mourning. I hope it will please the young gentleman so well, that he will not grudge to give a hogshead of sugar in casque for it. I pray, sends me what you can for it.
