Author Biography:

Ruth Werner, BCTMB, is a pioneer of pathology education in massage therapy. She builds on her impressive legacy with the 7th edition of this bestselling textbook. Ruth volunteers with several industry organizations, including the Massage Therapy Foundation, where she served as President for four years. She was a practicing massage therapist for fifteen years and she teaches massage therapy programs around the world. She is an NCBTMB-approved continuing education provider and has earned national recognition as the AMTA's Teacher of the Year, along with several other awards.
