The existence of serious deficiencies has been indicated by this mark may mean that certain volumes are incomplete, that certain volumes between those given are wanting, or both. 1t indicates that the current numbers of the serial so marked are received by gift, and that the Library consequently does not control the regularity with which they are received. In cases of recent change of title a cross reference has been made from the old title to the new. The place has been omitted after Transactions of Societies when the societies meet at different places from year to year.
