With the volume on Upanisad literature, because this volume is wanted at present as the necessary basis of a work now under preparation, viz., a critical edition and translation of the more important of the so-called Minor Upanisads. The two largest collections of Upanisad mss. The collection described in this volume comprises 1322 numbers distributed among 365 works, and of the latter the following have not been described before or not been properly described, those marked with an asterisk appearing herewith for the first time* (the numbers in brackets after the names refer to the pages of the present work) About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
