The sun is rising above the meadow in the valley of magnolias. Vivian is still a little sleepy and stretches out in her cocoon. Yet when the sun rays tickle her face, she is instantly wide awake. The tantalising smell of magnolias reaches her with a breeze. The little butterfly girl climbs out of her cosy bed. For the first time, she opens her delicate wings to fly over and explore the irresistible blossoms. She puts her button nose into one of the magnolia blossoms and sniffs the scent with obvious joy.
