Description

Among the great François Truffaut films, the story of a romantic triangle that inevitably invites comparison to Jules and Jim, as both are based on novels by Henri-Pierre Roche. Truffaut regular Jean-Pierre Leaud (who played Antoine Doinel in five Truffaut films, starting with The 400 Blows) is Claude, who on a turn-of-the-century trip to Wales meets the Brown sisters, Anne and Muriel, beginning a complex and destructive romantic manage-a-trois.
