An innocent family outing becomes an exercise in terror when a blinding light from the sky descends on the Wilsons, Bob (Eric Roberts - Spun, The Cable Guy, Past Perfect). Dez (Sherilyn Fenn - Boxing Helena, TV's 'Twin Peaks') and their young son, rendering them unconscious. They awake hours later dazed and terrified, but unable to recall exactly what happened. Following a series of increasingly bizarre visits by a pair of strange men in black suits, and the discovery that their video camera contains footage of alien-like creatures, the Wilsons realise that their abduction was no dream.

Unable to get help from the authorities, they seek out Stan Mills (Dean Stockwell - Married to the Mob, Blue Velvet, TV's 'Quantum Leap'), a former Air Force man turned UFOlogist, and with the 'men in black' close on their trail, the family moves to Stan's fortified, radar-proof compound in the hope of escaping. But these shadowy men will stop at nothing to keep the truth from being told, leading to a deadly confrontation deep in the woods, the outcome of which could change the course of human history.
