Critic Reviews:
- " The Equalizer is dark and brutally violent…Fuqua adds his stylistic flair to the proceedings, but it has a more restrained feel than some of his other action outings. " – Damond Fudge
- " The Equalizer is good enough popcorn entertainment, made classier by the presence of Washington. " – Paula Fleri-Soler
- " All of the efforts of this top notch team are in service of an earnest film that maybe doesn't know how ridiculous it feels to pair saint-like qualities with a man who'll put a wine corker into your neck slowly as you bleed out in his arms. " – Ed Travis
