Here we are again folks, the best of Country Calendar from TV ONE's 2009 TV series.
Not easy, but we hope you will agree, there's a little bit of everything for everyone in the stories we have chosen.
There's the smallest dairying operation in New Zealand – two cows, yes just two, but still producing and selling cheese; a group of Gisborne women who have banded together to grow sweet peas for export to Britain and Lyn of Taranaki who's got guts – taking on a share-milking job single-handed.
We just had to include a muster – this time on Mt White Station.
For those who love the sea we've included a fishing story and for the adventure lovers, a group of possum hunters turning fur into a very profitable business.
There's a growing interest in alternative farming methods, so we've included a hill country farmer who has converted his farm to organics, a winery situated on the shores of Lake Wanaka who has taken alternative methods one stage further, and finally a couple who farm free-range chooks in North Auckland – thousands of them.
Happy viewing!
