My previous ADSL+2 modem-router died so I needed to buy another one – and a better one than what I had (Dlink DSL-G604T)

I was hesitant to purchase this, as I thought it's still a cheapy and won’t be any better than the previous – however I was certainly wrong! It seems technology is improving vastly and this modem-router does what says.

I am a gamer BF4/COD/COH2/SWTOR/WoT etc. – so a heavy duty bandwidth user + 2 other computers are usually in use playing online games or downloading something!

This Modem-Router does what it says. Easy to install (just needs your ISP's configuration since it's not a NZ modem), good security and is able to manage well with huge usage! The wireless is also stable at good connections – but of course if your laptop is miles away don't be blaming it on this modem!

It's been over week as I write this review and there have been no problems so far. I highly recommend it for all!

This is a good value ADSL router with WiFi which will keep most folk happy.

Pro's:

– price. At $99 it's quite affordable.
- higher-gain antennas than most on the WiFi side
- can act solely as a router if you get UFB later
- setup is fairly easy (although some defaults need to be altered out of the box.

Con's
styling is not really to my taste
for some reason, the LAN lights on my unit flash all the time
wall mounting leaves the antennas or wiring at difficult angles
the network and phone cables provided are too short

It's worth noting that this is Version 1.1 of the device and there is now a version 2 that adds some very useful features – although I don't know what (if any) price difference there is between 1.1 and 2.0.

All in all, a good buy for under $100.
