Love. Life
Gloria (Julianne Moore) is a free-spirited divorce who spends her days at a straight-laced office job and her nights on the dance floor, joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles. After meeting Arnold (John Turturro) on a night out, she finds herself thrust into an unexpected new romance, filled with both the joys of budding love and the complications of dating, identity, and family. From Academy Award winning director Sebastian Lelio (A FANTASTIC WOMAN, DISOBEDIENCE) comes a sophisticated romantic comedy that shows love can strike at any time, relationships are never simple, and nothing can get you down as long as you keep dancing.
Critic Reviews:
- Whether she's dealing with conflicts at work, doing laugh therapy sessions, or smoking weed on the floor of her apartment while the Californian sunlight slants through the window, this is a Bell that chimes. – Times UK
- There is a terrific performance here from Moore, and an equally good one from Turturro, who may be entering into his own golden years of bittersweet character work. – Guardian
- Moore digs in and finds the intricacies in her character. She's not showy, but she turns in an honest, understated performance that all comes together in a joyous, melancholy, liberating dance set to Laura Branigan's "Gloria. – Detroit News
