"Uninstall Logitech Gkeys"

This keyboard is excellent, but as with alot of Razers HID compliant devices, Razer Synapse 2.0, spits the dummy on windows 8 when Logitech G keys is running, to stop this just remove Gkeys from your startup tray,. This was a frustrating amount of research, hotfixing and testing untill a clean install and this solution worked for me.

Symptoms can include: indefinite key repetition, input lag and polling issues.

"Get something without the touchscreen"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I know the touchscreen's “cutting edge” keyboard technology is the whole selling point, but honestly, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Most of the time, the keys above the screen don't light up or work, leaving the screen there totally pointless. Also, as many people miss, it doesn't have a numeric keypad, the only one it does have is on the keys which DON'T WORK. Razer is highly branded and thus gets people buying it without realizing what a load the product really is. DO NOT BUY.

"Decent but over-priced. Buggy software"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

As a keyboard it's great. The tactile keys feel good and responsive. The low profile design and how flush they are with the board means very little dirt gets in there as well. Great for people who want a nice feeling keyboard but don't want to board the mechanical hype train. The touch screen is definitely over-rated though. The apps for the screen are alright but realistically they are more effort to use than just opening your Emails or whatever on the actual PC. I bought this when it was brand spanking new and hoped that eventually there would be community-made apps but so far that's still only a dream. Very limited number of apps you can get from Razer's store and only a small number of games are supported. You can only try to enjoy the touch screen if you can get the software to work though. It worked fine for me for the longest time however soon enough Razer Synapse 2.0 refused to run/install ever again after a random mandatory update. Synapse unfortunately has a bit of a reputation for crapping out on people, just Google a bit and look anywhere. Not to sound like a cock or anything but I'm a real tech guru right but even after a lot of effort multiple times over the year I could never get Synapse to work again. On Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 with current and/or legacy versions of Synapse it would still refuse to work and Razer support does very little to help except ask if your Windows Updates are turned on or whatever rubbish. All in all it's a great keyboard but the novelty of the touch screen wears off quickly and has limited apps/support – and the screen is basically what you're paying for. However if you get bitten with the Synapse bug then say goodbye to your screen or any other customization, even changing your key backlights.
