Whilst yes, this anime can seem a bit dated, bear in mind it did start around the same time as Naruto, and has only improved since there. Most people who dislike One Piece have usually done so in only watching the first few episodes. A lot of people seem to give up at Usopp's intro­duction (I tend to agree his liar nature gets very overbearing in his first chapter). I try to encourage people to make it past the first 20, (Sanji and the Baratie add another fantastic element) and they will become hooked. As such Collections 1 & 2 I recommend getting together. See if you become as addicted as me and watch the over 700 episodes produced so far! I promise you, it only gets better as it goes…

The English version is not a disappointment, with a couple of special features namely audio commentary from the English staff and text-less theme songs.
